Updating our blog

Hmm, just noticed I haven't posted in a while. Guess that means we're pretty busy... or just lazy. I'll opt for busy with 3 under 5yrs.

Calla loves doing worksheets. I printed off a few Halloween themed sheets for her to do today. We also made bats from toilet paper rolls and black paper. Calla is showing her brother how to use a mouse. She is complete at one with a computer and the internet. She's even installing her own games! (out of necessity when Mommy is busy)

Rowan is being a busy 3yo boy. And quite the tormentor of his sisters too! When he's tired, he's at his most active. If you didn't know him, you would think that sleep was the last thing he needed. He's very challenging.

Eliana is, well, 2 months old. At this moment she is on my lap, miserable that I am typing and not pacing the floor with her. Hey, even Mom's legs get tired after a while. Not sure what's wrong with her this evening, but THIS TOO SHALL PASS... (**recited often in our house**)

Gord's at a Leafs game tonight, Tor vs Ottawa...just checked the score...ouch.5-1 Sens. Just terrible. Now 6-2.. not much better.

We're off to a pumpkin farm tomorrow, kids permitting.

It's raining, It's snowing????

What?? Snow?? but it's only Oct 13??? Wet snow, hail, rain and even the sun is joining this day. So we're watching movies, drinking hot chocolate and eating popcorn.

Eliana gave me the biggest smiles today! I don't know what I did to get her started but she just kept smiling!! Maybe that smile will make an appearance for the photographer tomorrow.

The birthday boys! We had a family party to celebrate Rowan & Uncle Matt's birthdays. Rowan is sporting his new Thomas PJs. Rowan now has even more trucks to park at the front door.

Please, if you're reading this, PLEASE take the next 10 minutes to back up all your digital photos. Trust me, hard drive crashes can happen to anyone. It's very upsetting to lose your baby's birth day photos. I will try to recover them, but it doesn't look promising when windows prompts "C drive is not formatted, would you like to format it now?" when I try to access the folder.

Eliana is growing like a weed. She's nearly 10lbs now, at just over 6 weeks old. But this baby has to realise that Mommy cannot hold her during every waking moment. At least she sleeps alone well.

Photo Day

We went to have Eliana's first photos taken yesterday. Well, if she had slept through it we would have at least had sleeping baby photos to show you. She screamed. And screamed. We'll try again in a few weeks. Rowan and Calla's photos were excellent! The family photo was ok.

Eliana likes to be held. She must realise that Mommy and Daddy's arms are the safest places to be. I don't know what I'd do without my baby carriers. My ring sling, pouch sling and newest addition, wrap. The wrap is my favourite for around the house. It allows me complete freedom while knowing she's safe and secure.

What is so fascinating about a pacifier to a 3yo??
