Grackles

Watched a rather industrious bird try to gather an 8 ft length of string that my hubby left outside.  Problem is, it's still attached to the stick in the ground where the center of the pool will be.  The silly bird would gather as much as possible then try to fly off, only to have the bundle pulled from its beak and thus the bird tumbles to the ground, or both bird and string pull back to the ground. Funniest thing I've seen in a while.  Who needs a computer or TV when nature provides its own entertainment.  The silly bird flew away, only to be spotted a few hours later doing the same futile task.
