Rally Day 2010

Calla and I had the opportunity to attend the Girl Guide of Canada's 100 Anniversary Rally Day on Saturday at Ontario Place.  Wow.  13000 girls and women. All celebrating 100 years of Guiding in Canada.  Our day started at 7am catching the bus. Our bus pickup location had 13 buses leaving from it.  And that was ONLY Whitby/Brooklin/Oshawa/Courtice girls and leaders/parent helpers.  There were activities all day long, and the rides were open too.  The day ended with a closing 'campfire' of campfire songs with an orderly exit to the buses.  As it was a girls/women only event, the men's bathrooms were relabeled for the day. We returned home after 8pm.

Now...who and how did they pack 13000 brown bag lunches?

After all that Guiding, I can't get the Guide Marching Song out of my head.
