an Aha! Moment

After reading the 10 tips for teaching highly distractible children, I put one to practice today during our lesson time. All R wanted to do was play with the Magnadoodle, since he found the stencil sheets hiding on the shelf. So, as nothing was to change his mind, I just continued our language lesson with C, asking R to join in on the oral repetition parts. He remembered each part, no flaw. Almost better than C, who paid full attention during the lesson.
Now, if I could just be less distracted...
